is a family-owned chain of chicken
restaurants that is hoping to bring Southern graciousness to the fast
food
experience. The company had sales in 2009 around the $3 billion mark,
making
this their 42nd year of continual growth. They are known for their
"recipe for
service" program and their intent is to bring white glove manners to its
nearly
1500 locations.
Luke Cook started with Chick-fil-A in Atlanta,
GA,
three years ago as a Team Member. He has worked in Corporate Training
with work
concentrating in the areas of operator and grand opening training. He is
currently the Owner/Operator of the Lower Nazareth
restaurant that opened in 2009.
Clockbuilding
is the idea that great leaders empower their
team to build a clock to tell their own time (instead of every time
someone
needs to know the time the only person to tell the time is the leader.)
Leadership is about empowering and equipping others to succeed. In order
to do
this, we have to share real responsibilities with them and then coach
them to
pursue excellence in those responsibilities. Hence, to build their own
clock!
